Dr. Negome-Kapur is joining her husband here in Arizona. She grew up in Hawai’i and obtained her Master’s in Clinical Psychology as well as Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA. She then traveled to Cincinnati, OH where she completed her internship; and looped back around to Washington State for her fellowship in Pediatric Forensic Psychology!
Since then, she has worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Orion Behavioral Health in Eagle River, AK where she performed psychological testing and therapy in Pediatrics. She then moved to Hawai’i and worked at Straub Medical Center in Hawai’i embedded within Primary Care where she assisted in setting up a program that allowed Primary Care Physicians and their patients to have direct access to behavioral health!
She focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and can also employ multiple other models of therapy to assist her patients and peers. She works with Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use, Trauma, PTSD, Dual Diagnoses, Pediatrics and Adults. Her interests include hiking, reading, traveling and beating her husband, Dr. Kapur, in video games!
