Dr. Abshire attended Indiana University, acquiring a BS degree in Biochemistry as well as a Doctor of Medicine Degree. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by a residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Abshire’s practice of medicine has included ten years in a solo Internal Medicine private office practice in Zionsville, IN followed by fourteen years in post-acute rehabilitation in Phoenix. He served as a lead physician for a large post-acute physician group in Arizona as well as an owner of his own private practice in post-acute medicine in the East Valley. He works closely with local hospitals in the Mesa area as well as participates in an Arizona medical insurance quality review board.
