Dr. Novak is from Crosby, MN and completed her doctorate in osteopathy in Des Moines in 1999. She moved to Arizona for her internship and residency in internal medicine and has been living in Scottsdale ever since. She has been Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2003 and is a member of the AOA. She has experience as a hospitalist, primary care giver in the outpatient setting, as well as a subacute caregiver. She has a special interest in the management of diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and preventative medicine. She practices the osteopathic holistic approach to medicine which is the art and science of healing that addresses the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. She integrates conventional and alternative therapies to prevent and treat disease, and most importantly, to promote optimal health. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, playing the piano, reading, crafting, decorating and traveling. She lives in Scottsdale with her Pomeranian, Romeo.
